Chesapeake Chamber Music's YouthReach Program began in the 2006-2007 school year to provide elementary school children in Talbot County, MD with a beginning string music experience called First Strings. In the 2008-09 school year, it has been expanded geographically to Dorchester County, MD, and via a new Presto! program, to children wanting to go beyond "First Strings." Over 600 elementary school children will take part in 2008-2009.
Chesapeake Chamber Music YouthReach also produces the free Children's Concert that is part of the annual Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival.
